Here, we show the main feature which are implemented in each release (with fancy screenshots):
Add node annotation, outsource docs to own repository, implement code for CoSim and PyNN, add access token for backend (for Jupyter proxy extension).
Introduce copy models, compartmental neurons, synapse weight recordings, code templates and backend status.
Introduce model management, simulation option with Insite.
Use Vue.js for web framework.
Define node shapes according to graphical notation of neuronal networks. Introduce network history to undo changes.
Introduce code editor for simulation script.
Deploy NEST Desktop on HBP service with OC and on bwCloud with Ansible. Use yarn instead of npm.
Introduce tabs for project views as well as side bars for navigation and controller.
Introduce Three.js for animated activity graph of spatial network.
Introduce Plotly.js for interactive activity graph.
NEST Desktop runs in nginx and requires the backend NEST Server.
NEST Desktop runs in Electron and requires the backend NEST Server Simulation. The app uses AngularJS as web framework and D3.js for network and activity graphs.
